The birth of the Church Body of CHRIST

When was the Church, the body of CHRIST born? The Church was born the day of the Pentecost. What is the Pentecost? The Pentecost is a Jewish festival that was celebrated even before the birth of the Lord JESUS. The Pentecost is a Jewish holiday that gets his name from the fact that it is celebrated 50 days after the seventh sabbath. This festival coincided with the festival of the harvest, thanksgiving day; whereby after the “7 weeks” we offer new meat to the Lord, the first fruits, the weekly festivals, etc. They were a great occasion for pilgrimage to Jerusalem and celebration of the end of the Passover pilgrimage (Leviticus 23:1-25).

Here’s how everything happened in Acts 2:1-4: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

It was the accomplishment of the word of JESUS in John 14:15-17,23. “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

During His mission on earth, the Lord JESUS did a lot of prophesied things that the Prophets said He would do. He had one mission: Prepare for the Lord a people who belong to Him and to Him alone. Everything that JESUS did was to build an habitation for GOD; this is how His mission ended in John 19:28-30: “ After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

Luke 23:44-45: “ And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.”

JESUS-CHRIST is the Head of the Church who has no successor nor intermediate since it is written in Hebrews 13:8 ” Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
